Like many “snappers” my photography journey started at a young age, influenced and encouraged by family members who were keen amateur photographers. The gift of a second hand Olympus SLR in the 1980s together with trips out with my dad, a respected Lincolnshire based amateur photographer and competition judge, sparked an interest. It wasn’t until 2017 with the arrival of quality phone cameras and the natural leap into the world of social media that my interest developed from an occasional “snap” into a more serious hobby. Latterly I have embraced the world of digital DSLR photography and with it an ability to develop my technical skills and “eye”. In recent years the opportunity to spend time capturing images both at home and abroad has increased and so too has my enthusiasm. This website serves, simply, as a medium for sharing my favourite images and a catalyst for taking my photography forward to the next level. As such it very much represents a starting position rather than an end point. Thank you for visiting these pages.
